Being able to know yourself and choose the right person is the basis for the program “How Not To Marry a Jerk” by Dr. John Van Epp. P.I.C.K. stands for Premarital Interpersonal Choices and Knowledge. Van Epp's seminar has been taught in 45 states, seven countries, more than 250 military bases and thousands of churches, singles organizations, educational settings and agencies.
Dr. Van Epp’s seminar emphasizes the importance of knowing a prospective mate’s F.A.C.E.S.—Family background, Attitudes, Compatibility, Experiences in previous relationships and Skills they bring to the relationship.
During the “love is blind” phase of a relationship Van Epp advises that a couple pace the R.A.M. of their relationship by referring to his Relationship Attachment Model—progressing by knowing, trusting, relying committing and touch over time and in that sequential order.
“How to Avoid Marrying a Jerk” written by Dr. John Van Epp. For more information on the book check out www.JohnVanEpp.com. Or, call Bonnie Sander to discuss opportunities in your area.
